Update for 2022!

We’re very pleased to share that we’ve received funding from Arts Council England to run a programme of activity beginning in 2022! We’ll be working with 13 artists to deliver 3 new projects, partnering with organisations and groups in Lancaster and across the North West.

This programme will include:

  • The Artist’s Survival Guide 2022 - the artist-led workshops will return in March! We’ll run 3 artist-led workshops designed to make pursuing a career as an artist totally achievable! This time, we’re working with students from Blackpool, Blackburn and Lancaster, increasing our focus on the North West and commissioning 6 new digital resources which will be permanently available on our website. Artists involved are Kerry Tenbey, Garth Gratrix, Sufea Mohammed Nor, Georgina Harris, Nuria Rovira and Kasia Tatys.

  • Changemakers 2022 - expanding the success of our 2020 project, which was supported by Culture Co-op, we’ll be working with young people living in Lancaster and Morecambe to curate an exhibition of work by 6 Black artists in May and June.

  • A new piece of public artwork, designed through a series of community workshops led by Glasgow-based artist Beth Shapeero in June and July.

Keep up to date with our new programme by signing up to our mailing list, or following us on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.
