We believe that art is for everyone…

…and this is at the core of everything we do.

We have three aims to all of our activity:

1. To champion exciting contemporary art, creating opportunities and experiences for early career artists which will contribute to their future career development;

2. To open up participation in viewing, making and discussing contemporary art, presenting it as important and relevant to audiences outside the “art world”;

3. To promote Lancaster and the surrounding region as a place which supports diversity, inclusivity and creativity. We do this by supporting the existing community in the city, and involving artists from across the UK in our programme.

We are currently a siteless organisation, and all of our activity takes place in “pop-up” venues or public spaces. Though we do have long-term plans to occupy a permanent gallery and studio complex, we believe that continuing to bring art outside traditional spaces is vital to presenting it as accessible and inclusive.
